In the Borland.public.delphi.non-technical newsgroup, Danny Thorpe posted this:
Update 2 is in the pipe moving towards production. It’ll be going through regression testing for a couple of weeks yet. Hopefully nothing will explode and require a restart. Pipeline stalls really hurt the schedule.

cool, maybe win32 will finally be usable.
It currently stinks.
Will it be another Delphi alpha release, a beta or a release candidate? Next time don’t ask user to pay to test Borland software… at least MS public betas are free.
win32 on update 1 works well enough for
me. And in fact has increased my productivity
significantly especially when reworking
existing code. Well worth the money.
This product is the best I have ever used !
Once more bugs are ironed out and further
features added I wont even remember that
Visual studio is there.
Additional features such as C++. Java.net
Maybe code translation tools i.e Delphi <–> C#
Java.net <–> C# etc.
generics. .net version 2. Compact framework
designer. Mono support. Linux X-platform.
I can now see the BDS 2006/2007 really shaping
up.
Borland is OUT OF MARKET 2 years now.
Delphi 8/2005 is the death of Borland and Borland Pascal, a death with “Personality”.
Is the first time in my life that I see a company to do so many Market Mistakes?
Any way I am many years Delphi programmer (from turbo Pascal 3.3), I decide to STOP using Borland Products, is to expensive for all these errors and WITH BAD PERSONALITY.
Good Luck.
